WASHINGTON – A Hyattsville man has been charged in a fraud scheme that authorities say stole more than $1 million from senior citizens and other victims, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland.

Prosecutors say Roy Dave Davis, 34, obtained personally identifiable information for numerous customers of a financial institution beginning in May 2023.
They say he then changed the mailing addresses on victims’ accounts to locations he controlled in Maryland, ordered debit cards in their names and used those cards to make ATM withdrawals and direct purchases.…
