Catholic Health and Mercy Hospital of Buffalo are proposing a daycare center at the northwest corner of Abbott Road and Salem Street. The nearly 7,000 sq.ft. building would serve the nearby Mercy Hospital of Buffalo workforce as well as the surrounding community.

This project includes the demolition of the existing two-story building and redeveloped into a new 6,898 sf one-story daycare structure located to the property lines along both Abbott Rd. and Salem St. The existing structure, front lawn trees, and paved surface parking lot shall be completely removed from the 0.34 acre parcel.
Improvements include a new paved drop-off lane, fenced playground, drainage, utilities, a six-foot fence at the rear and side property lines for screening, appropriate site lighting and a trash enclosure at the rear of the site. The new building will have face brick, glass storefront-style windows, a centered primary entrance along Abbott, and a mechanical screen wall on the roof to hide mechanical equipment.…
