Astronomical fall begins this week, and “cooler” temperatures are coming to Alabama as a long-running heat wave finally comes to an end.
It won’t be jacket weather just yet, but high temperatures for most of the state will stay in the 80s as opposed to the mid- to upper 90s of the past week.
Temperatures will be lower but still run a few degrees above average for this point in September, however…
