MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A parking deck construction project is expected to impact traffic in downtown Montgomery for over a year, according to city officials.
Contractor Stone Builders began construction Monday on the ABRFA parking deck, located at 924 Madison Avenue. The city said work is expected to continue through late November 2027.
During construction, these road closures will be in effect:
- Hilliard Street will be fully closed from Madison Avenue to Monroe Street
- Monroe Street will be fully closed from N. Jackson Street to Hilliard Street
Detour routes will be clearly marked, the city said, and drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, anticipate delays, and use alternate routes when possible…
