The latest volleyball rankings feature 11 Tallahassee teams, led by Chiles at the top of the list with a record of 8-4. Leon and Florida High round out the top 3 in a very close race with only .38 rating points separating the two teams. Chiles has put together an 8-4 start to the season, highlighted by several strong wins and competitive matches against some of the area’s top programs. The Timberwolves opened the season with a 3-0 win over North Bay Haven before dropping back-to-back five-set matches to Forest and Santa Fe at the start of the season. Chiles responded by defeating The Villages Charter in five sets and Niceville, 3-1, before falling to Florida High, 3-0, on Aug. 27. The Timberwolves then picked up consecutive sweeps over Maclay and Leon before avenging their earlier loss to Florida High with a 3-0 win on Sept. 8.
