WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A celebration of culture, music, food and heritage returns this weekend for the fifth annual Cape Fear Latinos Festival, bringing thousands together for one of the region’s premier multicultural events.
Organizers Jean Lozada and Melvin Felipe stopped by to preview the family-friendly festivities, which are expected to draw more than 5,000 attendees to experience live performances, more than 50 local vendors, and a wide array of authentic Latin American cuisine ranging from Mexican to Salvadoran dishes.
Beyond the celebration, organizers emphasized the group’s year-round mission providing vital resources across New Hanover and surrounding counties, helping bridge gaps in legal aid, housing, language support and college financial aid…
