CLAYTON, Mo. – A caregiver is accused of financially exploiting an MS patient at a Town and Country nursing home by stealing tens of thousands of dollars via improper Cash App transactions.
According to the Town and Country Police Department’s probable cause statement, the fraudulent transactions happened between Sept. 26 and Oct. 31, 2025, at Athene Nursing and Rehabilitation on Sheffield Manor Court off Clayton Road.
Police said the victim, who lives at the facility, has multiple sclerosis and requires assistance for most tasks. The victim has both private and Athene-provided caregivers.
