Parents underestimate risks of e-bikes, e-scooters as injuries rise, poll shows

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (News 10) – E-bikes and e-scooters are becoming an increasingly common sight on roads and sidewalks, but health experts warn that riders and their parents may be underestimating the risks of the motorized machines.

Only 6% of parents rated themselves as very informed about the different types of e-bikes, according to a new poll from University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
