An off-duty corrections officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was hospitalized after a shooting Monday evening on West Cheyenne Avenue near Buffalo Drive, according to police.
Police say officers responded near a business in the 7600 block of Cheyenne around 8:43 p.m. and located the victim with a gunshot wound. According to LVMPD, the corrections officer is currently in surgery.
