On Oct 2 and 3, the 19th annual Lord Granville Agricultural Heritage Association Harvest Show will take place in Butner, at the corner of 12th and G street.
This year’s show will feature Corbitt trucks and tractors, manufactured in Henderson, as well as food trucks, vendors, agricultural equipment demonstrations, a clogging performance, wood fire cooking, tractor games and an antique tractor show. There will also be apple cider making and homemade ice cream.
For the 4th year in a row, the show will also host a cake baking competition on Oct 3, sponsored by Strong Arm Baking Co. Entrants will make a cake from scratch – absolutely no boxed cake mix allowed – and other attendees can pay $3 to judge and taste every cake. Cash prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and everyone who bakes a cake gets two free tickets into the show…
