HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Tuesday afternoon. Skies are mainly sunny to partly cloudy across the Tennessee Valley and high temperatures will warm into the lower 90s again, the heat index can reach the upper 90s later today.
Isolated to widely scattered downpours and thunderstorms are going to develop yet again today with most thunderstorms ending around sunset. Like yesterday, some storms will be capable of producing gusty winds, small hail, frequent lightning and locally heavy rainfall. The Autumnal Equinox will occur at 7:05 PM CDT and we will officially be in the fall season. Skies remain partly cloudy overnight with slightly cooler morning low temperatures falling into the middle to upper 60s by daybreak Wednesday.
