MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County Clerk La Sonya Hall says her office is making progress on thousands of unprocessed auto title and tag applications found when the new clerk took office this month.
Hall told county commissioners after her first week in office that her staff found 34 crates of unprocessed applications from dealers leftover from a previous administration. Each contained applications from hundreds of auto sales.

As of September 18, Hall said employees had processed 17 of those 34 crates of applications dating back as far as June 29.
