NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville’s famous pink elephant will be on the move again Tuesday.
Pinkie had a longtime home at the University Motors car dealership in West Nashville. When that business closed, Pinkie was purchased by Clean Getaway Auto Wash and installed at the business on Charlotte Pike.

Local craftsman, Spencer Connell, later painted and restored the landmark. Car wash owner Paul Budslick purchased Pinkie to fulfill a childhood dream while ensuring the beloved landmark would be protected for future generations of Nashvillians, according to a release.

On Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., the owner will move Pinkie across town to Karl’s Wunder Wash on Murfreesboro Pike, just south of downtown Nashville.
