A reverse mortgage on a home owned by a deceased couple continues to haunt a neighborhood in the Village of Woodbury.
The property at 9623 SE 171st Argyll St. was the subject of a deed compliance hearing Monday at the District Office at Brownwood. The latest complaint involved overgrown grass, weeds and vines. While a property management company was contacted and recently cut the grass and removed the weeds, an inspection revealed the property remains out of compliance due to the remaining vines.
A special master hearing the case granted seven days for the vines to be removed, warning that fines will be imposed if the work is not completed. The special master also branded the property as a “re-occuring violation.”
