A detailed California itinerary of the person who may have exposed other Amtrak passengers to measles this month included train travel from Sacramento to Emeryville on Sept. 13, and a departure from Emeryville on Sept. 14, Alameda County health officials said Tuesday.
The passenger, who was unvaccinated and later hospitalized with measles, had been traveling through six California counties on their way to Colorado, state health officials said last week. They originally arrived in Los Angeles on Sept. 10, by train from Chicago.
The person rode the following Amtrak trains, according to California health officials. People who were on the same trains who are unvaccinated, unsure of their vaccination status, pregnant, immunocompromised, a healthcare worker or a childcare provider, or who have children 11 months or younger, should monitor for symptoms.
- Amtrak train #3, departing Chicago on Sept. 10 at 1:30 p.m. and arriving at Los Angeles Union Station on Sept. 12 at 8:12 a.m.
- Amtrak train #5717, departing Los Angeles on Sept. 12 at 10:55 a.m. and arriving at Bakersfield station at 1:45 p.m.
- Amtrak train #717, departing Bakersfield on Sept. 12 at 2:02 p.m. and arriving at Stockton-San Joaquin Street station at 6:29 p.m.
- Amtrak train #3717, departing Stockton on Sept. 12 at 6:35 p.m. and arriving at Oroville Bus/Thruway Stop at 9:30 p.m.
- Amtrak train #3718, departing Oroville on Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. and arriving at Sacramento Valley Station at 6:05 p.m.
- Amtrak train #749, departing Sacramento on Sept. 13 at 6:53 p.m. and arriving at Emeryville Station at 8:36 p.m.
- Amtrak train #6, departing Emeryville on Sept. 14 at 8:25 a.m. and arriving at Denver on Sept. 15 at 6:59 p.m.
