CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas (CW39) – A Houston man was arrested within 24 hours after deputies say 91 storage units were burglarized at multiple facilities in Chambers County. That’s according to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.
The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded Sept. 20 to reports of burglaries at storage facilities along FM 3180 at I-10 in Baytown.

How was the suspect found?
Investigators used security camera footage and automated license plate readers to identify a vehicle believed to be connected to the burglaries. The following day, deputies used license plate reader data to narrow their search to an area of Houston. They later found the vehicle at a local business. With assistance from the Houston Police Department, deputies arrested one man, according to the sheriff’s office.
What charges does he face?
The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office charged the man in custody with multiple counts of Burglary of a Building, according to the agency. HPD also charged him with Evading Arrest and Assault on a Peace Officer, stemming from his arrest, the sheriff’s office said.
