COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — Two traffic crashes within a block of each other in east Colorado Springs on Monday left some businesses shocked, but data shows crashes in that intersection are more frequent.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says the first traffic crash happened at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and Galley Road around 3 p.m. on Monday, September 21. A KRDO13 crew on the scene saw at least two cars being loaded onto tow trucks. Parts of North Academy Boulevard and Galley Road were shut down while CSPD investigated the incident.
CSPD says the second traffic crash was a vehicle-versus-pedestrian incident that is still under investigation. It happened around 7 p.m. Monday in the 3800 block of East Galley Road, which is one traffic signal over from the first crash…
