Nassau County is one of several northeast Florida counties where voters will face a choice on renewing a specific source of property tax funding for local schools.
In 2022, Nassau County voters approved one mill for local operating revenue for the school district, with a little more than 53% of voters approving the measure. One mill is equal to one dollar in property taxes for every $1,000 of taxable value. The current authorization ends Dec. 31, 2026, unless extended by voters.
