Eaton Rapids, Mich. (WLNS) — Starting Tuesday in Eaton Rapids, you might see an increased police presence near the area of the former Northwester Middle School.
The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team specializes in highly hostile situations where regular efforts fail. The team will be running simulated training scenarios inside and around the school focusing on hostage rescue and explosive entry. While each team, spread across the state, meet weekly for basic knowledge training, they come together as a department four times per year with simulated active drill practice.
