AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police are investigating an early-morning homicide in east Austin on Wednesday that left one man dead.
According to APD, police got the call just after 3 a.m. that shots were fired inside a residence near the 1000 block of Springdale Road.
Officers got to the scene and located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
During a media briefing just before 5 a.m., Austin Police Officer Aaron Townsend said the victim and the suspect knew each other, but the suspect had left the scene before police arrived. Police could not say if the victim or the suspect lived where the shooting occurred…
