NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – With heavy rain hitting New Mexico, Albuquerque saw some water building up across the metro. While there wasn’t enough for heavy flooding, other parts of the state did.

The storms brought fast-moving waters to the arroyos in the metro. Albuquerque Fire Rescue said they had crews by 1-40 and Carlisle for calls of a woman falling in the arroyo. Crews remained there for 30 minutes, but there was no sign of a person in the arroyo. However, they did say they found a man who said he fell into the arroyo but got himself out.
AFR said they also learned about a truck sinking in floodwaters in the Tijeras arroyo, with two people inside. The water was less than a foot high, but AFR said the risk for rising water levels warranted the call to 911. Old Town also saw a good amount of rain pouring off roofs and building up puddles on streets.
