When firefighters were called to an apartment building about a water leak, they were met with a horrifying scene. An eight-year-old girl was found floating face up in an overflowing bathtub and rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The girl’s mother, Travionna Johnson, 23, was arrested on Sunday for first- and second-degree manslaughter and first-degree abandonment of a dependent person. According to the affidavit, the mother went to work and texted her sister to see if she could come to the apartment to stay with her daughter.
