GREENWOOD, Ind. — An Indiana mother was arrested after police found two children walking along U.S. Highway 31 in Johnson County last week.
According to an affidavit for probable cause, officers with the Greenwood Police Department received a report that suggested two juveniles were spotted walking along U.S. Highway 31 near Apryl Drive around 6 p.m. on Friday. Police subsequently responded to the area and spoke with a woman who had located the children.
The woman indicated that she saw the kids walking alone along the highway as she was returning home from a pizzeria she had ordered takeout from. She pulled over to monitor the kids and then called police to report what she had seen…
