The MTA has announced a major climate resiliency project aimed at protecting a stretch of Metro-North’s Hudson Line that has been impacted by flooding and mudslides in the past.
The project will focus on the rail corridor between Spuyten Duyvil and Hastings-on-Hudson and will include improved drainage systems, better water flow infrastructure and reinforced retaining walls designed to reduce storm damage.
