Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa is becoming the year-round national home of the Carvana PPA Tour, the world’s leading professional and amateur pickleball organization, under a multi-decade partnership announced September 17.
The deal hands the PPA Tour year-round operations of AAG’s 41-court pickleball facility, now renamed the PPA Campus at Arizona Athletic Grounds. The complex includes four medal courts with spectator stands and a covered Championship Stadium court that seats up to 2,000 people. AAG already hosts several Carvana PPA Tour events each year, including the Carvana Mesa Cup in February and the Veolia Arizona Open.
Under the new arrangement, the campus will continue hosting its marquee tournaments while adding new competitions and expanded year-round training for both professional and amateur players. The PPA Tour is also funding capital improvements at the site, including additional shade and seating meant to support play throughout the year. Organizers say more details on new programming and initiatives are expected in early 2027.
Arizona Athletic Grounds CEO Mike Burke described the partnership as a long-sought win built on years of admiration for the PPA Tour’s growth and programming, while Carvana PPA Tour founder and CEO Connor Pardoe pointed to the strength of the Mesa pickleball community and the tour’s past success at the venue as reasons for the expanded investment, both in infrastructure and in efforts to grow the sport’s community of players…
