HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A new bridge now connects Harlan to Georgetown, a predominately African American community that once thrived until the devastating floods in 1977.
Larry Kirksey, a Georgetown native, recalls a conversation that strengthens the meaning of the bridge’s namesake.
