Ocala restaurateur and pitmaster Rashad Jones is taking center stage on national television once again, starring in a new commercial for TikTok that is currently airing across North America following a recent appearance on Good Morning America.
The 30-second commercial, titled “Rashad Jones BBQ,” highlights the Ocala business owner and his journey using the platform to connect with barbecue enthusiasts around the world.
Reflecting on the milestone in a social media message on Sept. 14, Jones shared that the commercial came exactly 500 days after he posted his first video on the platform.
“One post. One dream. One step of faith. And somehow, that journey led to filming a commercial with TikTok that will air across North America,” Jones wrote. “On Day 1, being in a TikTok commercial airing throughout North America was the furthest thing from my mind. I just knew I had to take the first step… 500 days later, I’m standing somewhere I never imagined I’d be.”…
