A wanted woman fled across a golf course in a bid to outrun law enforcement in The Villages.
Officers went to a home at 1613 Hilton Head Blvd. on the Historic Side of The Villages shortly before noon Wednesday in search of 34-year-old Teddie Rose Morris, who was wanted on a Lake County warrant. Morris was known to be staying at the residence, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. However, the New York native did not respond to a knock on the door.
About an hour later, an officer spotted Morris walking toward a nearby golf course. When the officer called out to Morris, she began to run. The officer gave chase and took her into custody on the golf course…
