If they didn’t know it was an awards show, anyone passing the Rush Park Community Center last Thursday, would have wondered what in the world were so many police and fire vehicles from around the county doing parked in one place as the Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce hosted its 7th Annual Heroes Luncheon.
Sparked by an idea from Chamber member Judy Klabouch, who attended Thursday’s event, the First Responder event has become a must-attend event as agencies that employ military officials, law-enforcement officials, firefighters and other first responders gathered to honor their own.
