HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Five candidates, who are looking to be the next Hinds County District Attorney, attended a forum on September 24, 2026.
Constituents said they’re looking for a leader who’s ready to work.

“The youth, the children that are concerned about our children, they’re going to be ones that are going to stand up for what is right. We need people in office now that’s going to stand up for what is right,” said Theresa Bell, who lives in Hinds County.
According to the Secretary of State’s website, the following candidates have qualified to run for the district attorney seat:
- Gwen Agho
- Greta Mack
- Darla Palmer
- Marvin L. Sanders
- Wendy Wilson White
