WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A man fatally shot by sheriff’s deputies earlier this year screamed for help for roughly 20 minutes, according to body camera footage shared by attorneys.
The slain man’s family filed an amended complaint against Washtenaw County and eight deputies on Friday, Sept. 25 in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan.
The lawsuit, originally filed in June, initially only named two deputies and referred to the rest as “John/Jane Doe.” It now names Deputies Jacob Gombos, Jacob Cuso, Von Heath, Gabriel Bechtol, Bryan Tripp and Jonathan Earley, as well as Sergeants Thomas Pennington and Samuel Wallace…
