ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A Vinton man was sentenced in early September to 14 years in federal prison for exploiting underage girls on Snapchat, according to the United States Attorney’s Office Western District of Virginia.
Prosecutors said Alageon Jaytwon Gravely, 22, pleaded guilty in early 2026 to nine counts of receipt, distribution, or distribution and receipt of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Court documents said agents with the Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations team helped Virginia State Police by probing Gravely following allegations of serious sexual misconduct by a minor’s guardian.
During the investigation, personnel got search warrants for Gravely’s smartphone and other electronics; the investigation revealed a large amount of sexually explicit material in his online accounts, a lot of it involving teenagers, documents said…
