MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WTAP) – Hickory Hills Church of Christ received a phone call from people in Nashville wanting to donate items to families affected by flooding that hit Southeast Ohio during the weekend of September 20.
“There is an organization that is supported by Churches of Christ around the country called Church of Christ Disaster Relief Effort. And they said we would like to send a semi load of supplies if you can give us a place to distribute. We said, absolutely, we’ll do anything we can to help. A lot of need up here. So it came in this morning. We unloaded the truck and now we’re started distribution,” said David Hannum, Elder of the church.
The donated items include food, indoor and outdoor cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene items…
