BALTIMORE, MD — A stolen car carrying teenagers collided with an MTA bus in East Baltimore on Thursday, leaving 16 people injured and adding another serious crash to a year already marked by multiple bus collisions in central Maryland.
Police said the teens in the stolen vehicle were between 14 and 17 years old. They remained hospitalized, and some were in critical but stable condition. Everyone hurt on the bus, ranging in age from 2 to 78, is expected to recover.
The crash came as federal data shows Maryland has logged more than 3,100 bus crashes over the past five years, with hundreds already reported this year.
