PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Several law enforcement agencies, including Portsmouth Police, are investigating a residence on Elliott Avenue as part of a potential death investigation following a shooting at the location Sept. 3, with authorities at the property using shovels and sand-sifting screens to search the backyard.
Portsmouth Police Chief Stephen Jenkins confirmed that officers are examining all aspects of the scene as part of their inquiry. Jenkins said police currently have no evidence indicating bodies were buried on the property. Authorities have been at the home investigating for five days.
