INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were hospitalized after a fire broke out a home on the east side of Indianapolis late Saturday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, 911 dispatchers received multiple reports that indicated smoke and fire were visibly pushing from a home in the 200 block of South Fenton Avenue — which is located between East Washington Street and Rawles Avenue — around 10:37 a.m.
An IFD crew was subsequently sent to the scene. That crew arrived around 10:41 a.m. and found fire emanating from the front of a home.
Firefighters also encountered a 72-year-old man upon their arrival. The man told first responders a woman was still in the house…
