Tesla is hoping to build a new, high-powered Megacharger system that would charge heavy commercial electric vehicles, such as the Tesla Semi, at a Pilot Travel Center near Interstate 75 in Ocala.
The project will be presented to the Marion County Development Review Committee during its regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 28.
According to application documents submitted to the county, Tesla, Inc. is requesting a waiver from Marion County Land Development Code Section 2.21.1.A(1) to utilize a Building Permit Site Plan in lieu of a full Major Site Plan revision.
