Students on campus at Towson University in Maryland were instructed to shelter in place as authorities responded to a situation in the area.
Baltimore County Police Department wrote on X that the department is “currently on the scene of a shooting in the 8000 block of York Rd. A male subject has been transported to an area hospital. We ask that you avoid the immediate area as officers work to safely resolve this incident. Once we have more information it will be provided.”
Baltimore Police did not say whether anyone else was injured in the incident, nor did they provide any details on the male subject in question. It remains unclear whether he was a student at the university…
