A New York-based Japanese grocery chain is about to make its West Coast debut in Cupertino, opening a sprawling market inside the space once occupied by Sprouts on Stevens Creek Boulevard. Hashi Market will welcome shoppers on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, marking the company’s first store outside the East Coast.
The new store will fill the former Sprouts location in the Crossroads Center at Stevens Creek Boulevard and South De Anza Boulevard, according to East Bay Times. The address, 20558 Stevens Creek Blvd., puts the market in a well-trafficked retail corridor, and the store itself will span 20,900 square feet, according to a report from NewsBreak.
Hashi Market bills itself as a hybrid grocery and department store, and the Cupertino location will lean into that mini department store concept. Shoppers can expect fresh fruits and vegetables, a sushi counter, matcha drinks and snacks, skincare products, and even kitchen appliances stocked alongside the grocery aisles, per the seed reporting.
