BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — As the weather starts to feel like fall, families in Beloit got the chance to enjoy some fall fun at a summer staple.
The inaugural “Fall Fest at the Park” was held at the ABC Supply Stadium on Sunday. Inflatables, games, crafts and even a train ride for kids were available, along with live music, food, drinks and mental health resources for veterans and first responders. A craft fair was also held, and attendees could also watch football games on the stadium’s jumbotron.
Jannie Idstein is the event sales manager for the Beloit Skycarp, which plays at the stadium. She says she hopes that more families will come out to enjoy a day at the ballpark someday, and that the “Fall Fest” could become a yearly tradition and open the door for the stadium to become a year-round staple in the community.
“Baseball is 66 days a year,” Idstein said. “So, the other days of the year, we don’t want this beautiful space to sit empty. We want people to be in here utilizing it, enjoying it.”…
