MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — “You don’t just stop grieving overnight,” says Danielle Rasecke, a sergeant with the Greensboro Police Department. “You know, it’s just ongoing.”
It was nn emotional plea Monday from law enforcement officers who never want another brother or sister in blue to feel the pain they felt.
“On June 28th, 2022, I responded to what was one of our officers that took his own life,” adds Rasecke. “Who also happened to be a friend of mine. It was this critical point in my career, but also in shaping who I am as a person.”
