More than 500,000 passengers have boarded Amtrak’s daily Borealis train connecting St. Paul and Chicago since its launch two and a half years ago.
Amtrak said Monday that the Borealis line has boosted ridership on the St. Paul-Chicago corridor, with over 2.2 million riders hopping on trains bound for Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois stations since May 21, 2024.
