ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A pedestrian walking in the early-morning hours of Sept. 28 died after being struck by a vehicle on New Leicester Highway.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said troopers responded to the accident at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 28. The pedestrian was identified as Johnny Tweed, 60, of Asheville. Tweed was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Highway Patrol.
