If you were traveling through downtown Boise Saturday morning you might have not thought twice about the usual closed roads and traffic jams. What probably made you more curious is how packed the capital was of marathon runners, with over 13,000 participants to be exact.
St. Luke’s presented ‘FitOne’ and encouraged everyone to join. It didn’t matter if you were running or walking. The weather that Saturday morning couldn’t have been any better either. For the runners that began right before sunrise, a slight chill might have been experienced but nothing a good scenic run couldn’t fix.
Although this wasn’t a full marathon (26.2 miles) the longest race being a half marathon (13.1 miles). The event also offered a 10K and 5K for the ones that wanted to experience the race and still be able to get out of bed the next morning.
