DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Los Angeles man has pleaded guilty to supplying bulk amounts of methamphetamine to Dayton-area drug dealers and faces a possible ten years to life in prison.
The man, 55-year-old Michael Chang, was in U.S. District Court this Tuesday and admitted to conspiring with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of meth. Officials said he was responsible for the distribution of over four-and-a-half kilograms.
Per court documents, between late 2024 and early 2025, Chang organized bulk deliveries of meth from California to the Miami Valley. While in L.A., he got and distributed narcotics to other members of a drug trafficking organization, who brought it to southwest Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

Officials said Chang is the lead defendant in this case; however, the three other defendants have been charged and pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy. At this time, they are awaiting sentencing:
- 41-year-old Dennis Campbell, from Hamilton
- 45-year-old Erika Garcia, from Trotwood
- 47-year-old Kathryn Tucker, from Bourbon County, KY.
“As part of this case, law enforcement officials seized two firearms and seven pieces of jewelry including diamond and gold tennis bracelets and necklaces,” wrote officials. “Sentencing of the defendants will be determined by the Court based on the advisory sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors at a future hearing.”…
