A much-loved downtown Leesburg bookstore has reopened its doors in a new, larger location. We’re talking about Birch Tree Books & Plants.
Back in July, The Burn told readers about Birch Tree’s plans to move from its cozy spot at 11 West Market Street into a much larger space right next door – at 9 West Market.
Well, the move has happened – including. a chain of volunteers that helped pass books from one store to the next – and now the new store is welcoming customers.
Even more noteworthy – the Birch Tree team beat their stated goal of opening the new store by October.
Along with the expanded space for shelves and tables full of books, there is also an expanded area at the rear of the store devoted to the sale of houseplants…
