Ypsilanti-area ICE operation draws crowd before individual’s release, sheriff says

YPSILANTI TWP., MI – Local residents reportedly gathered outside a local business early Wednesday morning in an attempt to stop federal immigration agents working to detain an individual, according to Sheriff Alyshia Dyer.

Washtenaw County Metro Dispatch received a call from a community member at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, to alert authorities that agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were attempting to apprehend someone, Dyer said.
