ANN ARBOR, MI – “Little Victors” at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital were honored with a parade of volunteers, sponsors and beloved characters, decorating their rooms, IV poles and wheelchairs and even joining in on the procession.
The parade, led by golden retriever Dash and his handler, Julie Juno, featured Mott mascot Motty the Mott Block alongside volunteers and sponsors including Culver’s, the Mott Golf Classic, Rainbow Connection, Detroit Tigers mascot Paws, DFCU, Make-A-Wish, Camp Casey, the Bottomless Toy Chest and more. Spiderman and Disney princesses Belle and Rapunzel joined in on the fun.
Luanne Thomas Ewald, chief operating officer at Mott, said the Culver’s sponsorship came together through a former patient who now works at a local Culver’s restaurant. Last Friday, 15 Culver’s locations across the region raised money for the hospital and awareness for the fundraiser, presenting a giant check for $20,000 on the day of the parade…
