New tagging tech tracks falcons around Peninsula

Tracking devices so tiny a monarch butterfly can support them, are being repurposed to help track the fastest creature in the world: the peregrine falcon.

‘Gino Falcone’ a peregrine falcon born this past spring at a Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) generating station in Port Washington, WI, was banded in the nest, and has been making a home in the Bay of Green Bay and is especially fond of the cliffs of Door County.
