Tulsa police said a woman stopped in a stolen Chevrolet Trax told them she had bought the SUV for $500 at a hotel earlier that day.
The explanation did not survive much scrutiny. The vehicle’s owner had reported her keys stolen from a slot machine at Osage Casino, where security footage showed an unknown woman take them before leaving in the SUV.
The driver, 37-year-old Alicia Rae Kelley, was arrested Sept. 26. The stop also cleared a felony warrant from another stolen-vehicle case in which she had pleaded guilty less than a year earlier…
